🎾I Got Beat 😱

Updated: Nov 1, 2021

Returning to my tennis theme this week, when I was in high school, I was just a singles player, but nowadays, my "thing" is doubles. "Why?" you may ask. Well, for one, I love having a teammate, and two, the whole social aspect of the game.

Looking back, I remember one of my first "serious" tennis matches in particular. My teammate and I were scouting out the competition - and could not believe we were up against these two little old ladies. It was almost like a Geico commercial: two fit Wimbledon players eyeing the two older women, all bandaged up, limping to the court, clutching their walkers. Do you get the visual?

We were sure this would be a quick match, but we soon discovered how wrong we had been. Those two women had some serious strategy; they did not hit the ball hard. However, they knew just where to "dink" the ball to get the point. We got creamed.

So how does this relate to your investment journey? You could be the most intelligent or most athletic person in the world, but a person with wisdom and strategy will be the victor. Investing wisdom is gradual and takes time. I hope to guide you through this and help you create logical strategies based on your financial goals. And it's important to remember; there is always more to learn. Every day, I study the markets and am still learning. To quote Game of Thrones, "You know nothing, Jessica Perrone!!" Well, maybe not nothing… But you get the point.
