While on the road somewhere in North Carolina on Rt. 95, my family stopped at a TA to troubleshoot our broken RV generator (Note to self, RV drama-based newsletter is a must!). My family stayed on board, enjoying the RV’s easy access bathrooms, while I went on the hunt for food.
Stepping into that TA was like stepping into a Disney World for long-haul truckers! Between the decorations, knickknacks, food courts, and tricked-out displays for semis, I was so jazzed about this trucker subculture; I wanted my whole family to come inside to experience it. But my enthusiasm was lost on three teenage girls, who verbosely objected and then declined, posing the question, “How could semis possibly live up to endlessly scrolling down a For You Page?”
