There is something absolutely electric that happens when a group of women decide to start owning their financial power.
Our very first HerFinIQ Community Meet-Up was born because so many of our participants asked for a way to stay on track with their money goals after taking in HerFinIQ courses and going through Money Talks programs. Often, people use the word “accountability” for that. But in this community, we do things differently. We do Money Mentorship & Motivation.
We aren’t here to police your spending; we are here to cheerlead your vision and fuel your momentum. It’s about having a huddle of women who remind you of who you are: a woman who is finally in the driver’s seat of her own wealth. We don’t just “check in”; we fire each other up.
Celebrating the Wins 💃🏆
Before we even got into the teaching, we started where it matters most: Celebration of Wins. I am so incredibly proud of the ladies who showed up and shared their progress. Seeing you own your milestones—big and small—is exactly why we created this space. When one of us wins, we all win!
Straight from the Money Huddle 📣
The energy in our first session proved that when you have a team behind you, you can move forward with confidence. Here is what our participants had to share:

- Another participant loved the power of the group, saying: “It was a great opportunity to connect with others and get some insights on my financial literacy… All your topics are always great!” She also hit on why this huddle matters—it’s about reducing financial anxiety and replacing it with the roar of supportive, healthy money habits.
The “Scale” Moment: The Coffee Talk 📉☕
During the Money Coffee Talk segment of our agenda, we introduced the Net Worth Statement.
I shared with the group that looking at your Net Worth for the first time is a lot like standing on the scale for the first time when you start a new health journey. It might feel intimidating to look at that number, but you have to know your starting point to see your progress.
What makes the Net Worth Statement so special is that it stays with you through every stage of your wealth journey:
- When you’re first starting out, it shows you exactly where you stand as you get your financial ducks in a row.
- As you grow, it becomes the ultimate scoreboard to show you exactly how your money is working for you as you invest.
We talked about the importance of checking this number monthly. Just like tracking your health, checking your Net Worth every 30 days allows you to see the trend, celebrate the growth, and adjust your plan. It moves you from “guessing” to “knowing.”
